All poker variants involve the same basic rules, but the number of cards in play and the manner of dealing may vary. Poker differs from other card games because of its emphasis on bluffing. Players choose their actions based on their knowledge of how to play the game. These actions are made based on the probability of winning and based on their perception of the other players’ behaviour. For example, if a player thinks that the other players are bluffing, he or she might choose to fold.
